Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls is the tallest single drop in the smokies, and is named for the rainbow effect that forms in the mist of the falls on sunny days.

The trail to Rainbow Falls is one of the oldest in the park and very well-traveled. Everyone from experienced hikers to kids will enjoy the hike to Rainbow Falls, as well as the log bridges found along the way.

The hike to the falls is relatively easy, however the rocks and boulders around the falls can become slippery and dangerous. The trail is some what of a steep climb which passes through a boulder field and onward to a wider path. Please be advised that pets are not allowed on this trail as a safety precaution.
